The Problem with too many Password Managers
Control of Data
Too many password managers can see your data in plaintext while acting as a blackbox to you.
Products Maintenace
Solutions require you to set up and maintain servers that is another thing to keep up.
Opaque Security
Many come with a brand that is precieved as trusted without providing transparency.
How The Vault Works
Your Storage, Your Rules. Everyone with a smartphone already has cloud storage. Instead of storing your passwords on our servers, creating a massive target for attackers, The Vault utilizes your own cloud storage already trusted (like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, NextCloud, and soon iCloud). We never see your data, we never hold your vault, and your secrets remain entirely in your control. You can also move the vault files as you change your storage provider.
In Technical Terms. The Vault encrypts your data entirely on your device using AES-256-GCM, which is an industry-standard authenticated encryption algorithm. Vault keys are derived using Argon2id, a memory-hard key derivation function designed to resist brute-force attacks, and is never known to Focused Hunts. Your encrypted vault files sync through cloud storage you already own, so your unencrypted data never leaves your devices. We know nothing about your vaults.

Built by Security Professionals
The Vault is built by Focused Hunts, LLC, a cybersecurity consulting firm with over 20 years of experience in threat hunting, incident response, and security advisory. We built The Vault because we wanted a password manager we would actually trust and one where the security model doesn't depend on someone else's infrastructure. The Vault files can be moved across clouds or imported locally on your device.
